DATE: Saturday, October 12, 2019

START TIME/PLACE: 10:00 a.m. at Goldstream Sports, 711 Sheep Creek Rd.

FINISH: HooDoo Brewing Co., 1951 Fox Ave.

TIME LIMIT: 5-hours

• $55 – Regular Registration – August 1 – September 7**
• $65 – Late Registration – September 8 – October 10
• $75 – Bib Pick-up Registration – October 11 & 12
• $85 – Race Day Registration – Oct 13 (8-9:30am at Goldstream Sports)
• $30 – for participants who will be under 21 on race day
** Register in the Early Bird and Regular Registration windows and you are guarantee a race shirt and tote with goodies.

• Long-sleeve race shirt from Brooks Running, printed locally by Jolly Roger, Inc.
• Reusable tote bag with sponsor swag
• 2 beer tokens after the finish from HooDoo
• Post race snacks
• Top 3 male & female racers get commemorative awards
• Participant/Race photos documented digitally
• Real time Chronotrack timing
• The ability to drop one bag at the start that will be tagged and transported to HooDoo for the finish (jacket, change of clothes, etc.)
• Shuttle from parking lot at corner of Olnes St. and Phillips Field Rd. to Goldstream Sports the morning of the race

BIB-PICKUP / REGISTRATION: Bib Pickup will be Thursday, October 11 from 3-8pm at HooDoo Brewing Co. Alternatively, at Goldstream Sports on Friday, October 12 from 12-7pm, or day of the race from 8-9am, if you’re in a pinch. You can also always register the day of the race at Goldstream Sports before 9:30am, but why wait? Register early!

REFUNDS: Our policy is that refunds will only be given for registrants who entered at the Early Bird and Regular (May 15 – September 7) registration windows. You are not eligible for a refund if you registered during the Late, Bib pick-up or Race Day Registration windows (September 8 – October 7). To request a refund, you must contact the race director Stacy Fisk [], NO LATER THAN September 14, 2017. The amount refunded will be the registration fee MINUS the online transaction fee.

AWARDS: Starting at 1pm, at HooDoo, we will have awesome door prizes and start our awards ceremony for the top 3 women’s and men’s finishers.

WALKERS: Walkers are welcome on the course. If you go over the time limit, not a huge deal as HooDoo will still be open, but the post-race festivities may be wrapped up.

STROLLERS/KIDS: By all means, get the kids involved. Kids 12 and under are FREE to participate with a parent/guardian, but they will not get race swag. Those with strollers, please note that the terrain is a mix of dirt/gravel and asphalt. For participants aged 13-20 see below.

PARTICIPANTS AGE 13 TO 20 YEARS OLD: For runners/walkers that want to race and will be between the ages of 13 and 20 at the time of race day, you can enter for a flat fee of $30. You get all the race support and the official tee-shirt (register by September 7 to guarantee the tee), but you won’t get a race bag with swag and beer tokens (of course!). Please note that you will need a parent or guardian to be with you at the finish to be at or inside of HooDoo Brewing Co.

DOGS/PETS: We love them, but please leave them at home.

SHUTTLES: Parking at Goldstream Sports is EXTREMELY limited.*
The PubLine is providing shuttles on race morning, so please take advantage of them. Park in the Flowline parking lot at the corner of Olnes St. and Phillips Field Rd. Your vehicle will be close-by after the race! Remember there is a bag drop at the start, so we will shuttle keys/layers/personal belongings back to the finish at HooDoo.
* If you do not want to use the shuttles, please plan on getting dropped off at Goldstream Sports prior to start.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Exact course is TBD. There is a large construction project along University Ave. that may impact last year’s course. We will update this Mid-Summer. But we will start at Goldstream Sports in the Goldstream Valley and make our way down to HooDoo. The course terrain is a mix of dirt/gravel and asphalt.


RESTROOMS: Restrooms will be at the start, finish and at the half-way point.

HYDRATION STOPS: TBD exactly based on final course, but plan on stops every 2-3miles…and BEER at the end!

MEDICAL SUPPORT: We have been working with the city. They are aware of the race and on-call if needed. Volunteers will be on the course to assist.

RACE RESULTS: A race chip will be attached to each person’s bib. Please do not remove the timing chip. Please ensure that your bib is clearly visible on the front of your race apparel. It serves as a backup in the event that your timing chip does not function properly (this is not anticipated, but happens sometimes).

WHERE DOES MY MONEY GO? Due to last year’s success, we will be happily donating a good portion of the entry fees to a yet-to-be-announced local non-profit. Your registration fees go toward providing a quality half-marathon race experience. We are paying professionals to provide real-time and accurate timing, which includes set up, bib printing and chip timing. Insurance, city permits, registration services, and participant swag is covered, too. HooDoo and Goldstream are not taking any profit from registration fees. Any money left over will be put into a set-aside account for next year to build upon. We want this to be a high-quality and safe yearly event for Fairbanks that is fun for all.
